Why I Chose the Name Trust The Process for My Journey

Naming a project is more than a branding exercise. It is a commitment to the reality of the immigrant experience.

I have watched a lot of podcasts where successful people share their stories.

They talk about building businesses, navigating setbacks, developing discipline, and making decisions that changed their lives. There is a lot to learn from those conversations.

But I kept thinking about the person listening.

What happens when the episode ends? Where do they go with the advice they just heard? How do they figure out which lessons apply to their circumstances? And what if they cannot afford the guidance, connections, or resources that would help them move forward?

That gap is the reason I created Trust the Process.

I wanted to bring honest conversations, practical resources, and access to people together in one place—so someone could learn from a story and have support taking their next step.

A Place to Learn About Different Parts of Life:

Building a successful life involves more than one area.

Your career affects your finances. Your finances can affect your relationships. Your health influences your energy, and your mindset shapes how you respond when something goes wrong.

Yet we often receive advice about each of these things separately, leaving us to work out how it all fits together.

I wanted Trust the Process to give people a place to explore those connections. A place where you could learn from a business owner, an athlete, a creator, a professional, or someone rebuilding after a difficult chapter.

A recognisable name can bring valuable experience. So can someone whose story you have never heard before.

What matters to me is what their experience can teach us: the choices they made, the mistakes they learned from, the help they received, and the things they are still working through.

The Person Listening Is at the Centre:

When I think about this platform, I think about someone who wants to improve their life but does not know where to begin.

Someone working while studying. Someone starting again in a new country. Someone with a business idea and no clear direction. Someone trying to manage their money or become more consistent.

They may have ambition without access to a mentor. They may have questions without the budget to pay for every answer.

I want Trust the Process to be useful to that person.

My own journey from Kenya to Canada is part of why that matters to me. Finding your footing in an unfamiliar place brings questions about work, money, belonging, and your future. Having somewhere to begin—and people you can learn from—can make that experience feel more manageable.

But this mission reaches beyond the immigrant experience. It is for anyone trying to build a life with the resources they have.

Turning Conversations into Something You Can Use:

The podcast is where many of these conversations begin.

I want to understand how people built what they have, including the parts that rarely make it into a short success story. Which habits helped? What resources were useful? What would they approach differently today?

Then I want to make those lessons easier for the audience to use.

That is the purpose behind Build the Process, the practical side of the platform.

As I learn about useful approaches, tools, and resources, my aim is to bring them onto the platform in ways that help people work through their own situations. That could mean a reflection exercise, a practical framework, an AI tool, or guidance from someone with relevant experience.

The question I want us to keep asking is:

After someone learns something here, what support can we give them to act on it?

A lesson becomes more useful when you can connect it to a decision you are facing or a step you can take.

Making Guidance and Connections More Accessible

Part of this mission is affordability.

People should have ways to begin learning and making progress without needing a large budget. I want to build a platform where useful resources are accessible and deeper support is reasonably priced.

Another part is connection.

There are creators, business owners, and professionals with knowledge worth sharing. There are also people who could benefit from that knowledge but might never otherwise have the chance to connect with them.

Over time, I want Trust the Process to help bring those people together.

That might open a door to learning, mentorship, collaboration, or an opportunity someone had not considered. Those relationships take work to build, and I want them to become a meaningful part of what this platform offers.

My ambition is for Trust the Process to become a dependable support system: somewhere people can return when they have a new question, face a setback, or are ready for their next step.

Why the Name Matters:

I chose "Trust the Process" because building a life takes repeated effort, learning, and adjustment.

You hear an idea. You consider whether it fits your situation. You try something, learn from the result, and decide what to do next.

Sometimes you need a resource. Sometimes you need an honest conversation. Sometimes you need someone to help you see an option you could not see on your own.

That is the process I want this platform to support.

Trusting it also means being willing to question your approach. If something is not working, you can change direction, ask for help, or build a different plan. Patience and action have to work together.

The Life You Build Should Be Yours:

Success will look different for each person who comes here.

For one person, it might mean starting a business. For another, it might mean financial stability, better health, meaningful work, or more time with family.

I want people to learn from the lives featured here while making decisions that reflect their own values and circumstances.

You should be able to see something of your own journey in this platform—and find something that helps you move it forward.

I am still building Trust the Process toward that mission. The conversations, resources, and relationships all need to serve the same purpose: helping people apply what they learn.

I want the person listening to have somewhere to go after the episode ends.

Somewhere to ask questions, find practical support, connect with people, and begin building.

That is why I created Trust the Process.
