Terms of Use

The agreement for using the site, the podcast and TTP Pro — plans, billing, cancellations, and the rights you keep as a consumer.

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Trust the Process website, podcast, newsletter, AI-guided resources and TTP Pro membership (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, creating an account, or subscribing, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Trust the Process is a brand name. The operator’s registered business name, registered address and the jurisdiction whose laws govern these Terms are available on request at trusttheprocesswithshaan@gmail.com.

Eligibility

The Service is intended for people aged 16 and over. To buy TTP Pro you must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian complete the purchase and agree to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service you confirm that you can enter into a binding agreement, and that the information you give us is accurate.

Your account

  • You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
  • One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
  • You must give us an email address you control, because that is where we send access, billing and service messages.
  • You can close your account whenever you like by writing to us. Closing an account does not by itself cancel a subscription; cancel that in the billing portal first.

Plans and what they include

TTP Free gives you access to every AI resource, with two completed assessments per resource in each calendar month, the full set of findings from each assessment, and the recommended next steps.

TTP Pro is $9.99 per month, plus any applicable taxes. It includes unlimited assessments across every resource, detailed explanations with reasoning and trade-offs, conversion of an assessment into an action plan, tasks organised by priority with milestones, progress tracking and saved assessment history, and access to the educational video series as each instalment is released. Pro is also subject to a technical safeguard of 400 completed assessments per calendar month, which exists to stop automated abuse and is far above any ordinary pattern of use.

Features, resources and the free allowance may change as the Service develops. We tell members before a change reduces what they have paid for, and you can cancel if the change does not suit you.

Subscriptions, billing and renewals

  • TTP Pro is a recurring monthly subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the price you agreed, until you cancel.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise the recurring charge to the payment method you provide, and you confirm you are permitted to use that method.
  • If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend Pro features until it succeeds. Access to free features is not affected.
  • We may change the price. We give existing members at least 30 days' notice by email before a new price applies to them, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
  • You can open the billing portal from My Process to see invoices, update a payment method, or cancel. Receipts are issued by email.
  • Taxes are charged where required by law and shown at checkout where applicable.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep your account and saved history afterwards on the free plan.

Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are not refunded and a period that has begun is not refunded in part. Statutory rights are not affected: the regional sections below set out the additional rights consumers have in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and the United States, and those rights prevail over this paragraph.

AI guidance is not professional advice

The assessments, explanations, plans and recommendations produced by the Service are educational. They are generated with the help of AI, they can be incomplete or wrong, and they are not financial, investment, tax, legal, immigration, accounting, medical or psychological advice.

We are not a licensed adviser, broker, lender or insurer, and using the Service does not create a professional relationship. Before making a financial, business, tax, legal or health decision, speak to a qualified professional licensed where you live. You are responsible for the decisions you make and for checking that any figure, rule or entitlement that matters to you is current and correct.

Your content

You keep ownership of the answers you enter and the plans you create. You give us a limited licence to host, store, process and display that content so we can run the Service for you, which ends when you delete the content or close your account, apart from copies kept in routine backups or where the law requires retention.

You confirm that what you submit is yours to submit, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break the law. Do not enter another person’s confidential information, or sensitive details such as account numbers or identification numbers.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive, or to give regulated financial, legal or medical advice to other people;
  • scrape, crawl, copy or bulk-download content, or use bots or scripts to generate assessments beyond ordinary personal use;
  • attempt to access another person's account, bypass the free allowance or the Pro safeguard, or probe the security of the Service;
  • reverse engineer, resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute any part of the Service or its content;
  • upload malware, or interfere with the operation, integrity or performance of the Service;
  • harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, including in messages to us.

We may suspend or end access where we reasonably believe there has been a serious or repeated breach of this section.

Intellectual property

The Service and its content, including episode recordings, written commentary, resource guides, book summaries and reflection questions, logos, design and software, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other rights. Podcast guests retain rights in their own words and likenesses.

You may watch, read, listen and share links for personal, non-commercial use, and you may quote short passages with attribution and a link. You may not republish, rebrand or resell our content, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement, without written permission.

Podcast, guests and third-party content

Conversations reflect the experience and opinions of the people having them, not a representation by us that their approach will work for you or that we endorse their products. Guests may describe results that are specific to their own circumstances.

The Service links to and embeds third-party sites and services, including YouTube, Instagram and external reading links. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Following a link is at your own risk and subject to that provider’s terms.

Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service available, but we may change, pause or retire features, run maintenance, or withdraw resources. We are not liable for interruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control, including failures at our hosting, payment or AI providers.

Where we remove a paid feature during a period you have already paid for, we will either provide a comparable replacement or refund the unused part of that period.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the Service. Except in cases of serious breach, we give reasonable notice. If we end the Service for a reason other than your breach, we refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or complete.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or condition that cannot lawfully be excluded, including the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law and equivalent rights in your country.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunity or business interruption, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and $100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that the law does not allow us to limit. Consumers keep every right their local law gives them, and the regional sections below apply where they grant you more.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms. This does not apply to consumers to the extent their local law does not allow it.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Trust the Process is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction may hear disputes, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim in your local courts or before a consumer body where the law gives you that right.

Before starting a formal claim, write to us at trusttheprocesswithshaan@gmail.com with a short description of the problem. Most issues are settled that way, and we will try in good faith to resolve yours within 30 days. Nothing prevents either of us from going to a small claims court or a consumer dispute body.

European Union and the United Kingdom

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, nothing in these Terms removes the rights your local law gives you, and these Terms do not apply to the extent they would reduce those rights.

  • Cooling-off period: you have 14 days from the day you subscribe to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason, and we refund the first payment. If you ask us to start providing Pro immediately, you confirm you understand you lose the withdrawal right once the digital service has been fully supplied for that period; if you withdraw after part of the month has been used, we may deduct a proportionate amount.
  • Withdrawal can be sent in any clear statement to trusttheprocesswithshaan@gmail.com. We refund using the same payment method, without undue delay and within 14 days of your notice.
  • Automatic renewal: before you subscribe we show the price, the monthly period and how to cancel. Renewals continue until you cancel, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
  • Price changes require your clear notice in advance and, where the law requires it, your consent. You may cancel before a new price applies.
  • Defective content or service: you have the right to a remedy where digital content or a digital service is not as described, not fit for purpose, or not supplied with reasonable care. If a remedy is impossible or disproportionate, you may terminate and obtain a refund.
  • UK consumers may also use the services of the Citizens Advice consumer service. EU consumers may contact their national consumer centre or the European Consumer Centre in their country.
  • Swiss consumers keep their rights under the Swiss Code of Obligations and the Federal Act on Data Protection.

Australia

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees.

  • If there is a major failure with the Service or with digital content we supplied, you may cancel the subscription and obtain a refund for the unused part, or compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss.
  • If the failure is not major, you may ask us to fix it within a reasonable time. If we do not, you may cancel and obtain a refund for the unused part.
  • Nothing in these Terms obliges you to indemnify us for a failure on our side, or limits your right to a remedy for that failure.
  • Dispute resolution: if you are unhappy, contact us first at trusttheprocesswithshaan@gmail.com. If we cannot resolve it, you may complain to the relevant Australian consumer affairs agency in your state, or to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner for privacy matters.

Canada and Quebec

  • Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under Canadian consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec) and the consumer protection statutes of the other provinces and territories.
  • Quebec consumers: these Terms are drafted in English at the request of the parties; a French version is available on request, and the French text of any mandatory notice prevails where the law requires it.
  • Quebec consumers may cancel a contract for a service within the period the Consumer Protection Act allows, and the terms of that Act apply where they give you more rights than these Terms. You may also contact the Office de la protection du consommateur.
  • Recurring subscription: the monthly price, the renewal date and the cancellation method are shown before you subscribe, and you can cancel at any time without penalty.
  • If you are a minor in your province or territory, a parent or guardian must enter into the subscription and accept these Terms for you.

United States

  • Recurring charges: you authorise recurring monthly charges at the price shown until you cancel. Cancellation instructions are available in the billing portal and in the footer of every receipt.
  • State consumer protections apply and are not reduced by these Terms, including any right to cancel or to a refund that your state's law provides.
  • Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of the disclaimers and liability sections may not apply to you. In that case the remaining provisions continue to apply.
  • You and we agree to try to resolve disputes informally before either side files a claim, as described in the governing law section.
  • If you are a California resident, the California notice in our Privacy Policy also applies to you.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The current version is always on this page with its date. If a change materially affects your rights or your subscription, we tell account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means the updated Terms apply.

General

  • If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remain in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation or sale, provided your protections are not reduced.
  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
  • Notices to you go to the email address on your account; notices to us go to trusttheprocesswithshaan@gmail.com.
